Oh to be a mother...

First to catch up a little bit... Between the crazy days of good spring weather and bad can't-give-up-winter-type weather... LJ was able to sport a new outfit that Grandma picked up for him. Isn't he just a little cutie?!

Needless to say, with all the dramatic changes in the weather, LJ has not been handling them very well and has been back and forth with being sick from this, that, whatever - you name it! Sheesh - good thing his doctor is fun to hang out with... cause we've seen him quite a bit. But what's really fun about seeing his doctor (besides the fact that he's great eye candy......) is that the doctor gets LJ to have a good time (not that it's hard to do) - so here's a picture of the the reaction the doctor gets out of LJ...

Now to the Mother's Day post....

Oh to be a mother! The simple joys and rush of emotions that overcome you as you simply watch your child sleep! How I love this little man more than I could ever say! I get frustrated at the same time of all this love as well... Those working mother's out there know exactly what I'm talking about - especially when you add the single mother factor. Now I realize that I have been blessed with such a wonderful child, with such a great and stable job, with an amazing and loving family, and with such wonderful friends who assist and support me in their little ways. I'd like to give a special and BIG THANK YOU to Hollie for helping me to raise my son as she watches him while I work. She sacrifices so much - like the ability to sleep in!!! I'm thankful that my son has such an amazing 2nd family in their home - and that he is so loved as if he were a blood part of their family. I can never express my entire gratitude for that peace of mind and that help in my life.

To celebrate my 2nd Mother's Day - I made sure to get a couple of pictures with my beautiful son. He has grown so much - and continues to grow and develop! I am so thankful for my sisters who allowed me to help with their children and watch the examples that they set for me. My sister's are completely amazing - and I love them very much! They helped me to see the areas where I'd like to follow them as becoming a mother. One thing that I really have enjoyed teaching my son that I learned from my sisters was teaching LJ to become responsible for cleaning up his mess - his diaper!!! Yup - that little mister takes his diaper to the trash! Once he learned how to walk, he also learned how to take that diaper to the garbage!!! I love it!

Yes, I love my son as much as all mother's love their children. I'd also like to give a special thank you to my mom, her mom, and her mom's mom - and so forth - along with my dad's mom, her mom - and so on. Without all of them, I would not be the mother and woman that I am today. Thank you so much for being such wonderful examples to me. I love you!!!
