Weekend of building a fence!

When I picked up LJ from Hollie's on Friday, he was completely exhausted and still snoozing! He can be such a good sleeper - and he cracks me up of how fast he jumps (quite literally)up when he wakes up - and all smiles too! But before I woke him up - look how peaceful and big he's getting!!!



Last Saturday, Matt and I - along with LJ's supervision - took on the task of building my fence! Or as Matt puts it, the animal sanctuary!!! Here is LJ is his role of supervisor...



Here's Matt using an auger to drill out the post holes... Which later, I had the lovely task of cleaning out the dirt and making sure each hole was at least 18 inches deep!






What cracks me up the most about this next picture of LJ is that he was very intense with watching Matt drill out these holes... Just look at that concentration!!!



Next stop was to Home Depot to return the auger and pick up wood and such! Can you tell that LJ was a little excited about helping with this part of the job?!




Handy-man Matt took a little break to survey things as we pushed through the day with our task!



Ok - Now here is proof that I've got a REAL man in my child... By looking at these pictures - you'd think that he spent the day himself putting up that fence!!! I just love it!!!





Totally relaxing after a "long" day of fence building - just watching some tv as we chill out...



But as soon as you let him know that it's time for bed... a new burst of energy comes to him and he's all over the place! He loves to take this stool over next to the fireplace and sit down - almost like he's trying to sit at his own sized little table-type thing...



Here are the boys after church... Matt's helping LJ get his shoes on so that he can run free in his "animal sanctuary" - and now we won't have to worry about his running off down the road!







Well - there you have it! I'll get some actual pictures of the fence later. I'll post them with the remaining pictures of the new house! I'm hoping to get a lot of unpacking done this weekend, so then I'll be ok with going through the house and snapping some fun shots of the house to give you a sneak peak!!!

Memorial weekend and MORE!!!

My little stud-muffin!!! A few weeks ago, LJ decided to start pulling his shirt over the top of his head, but still leave it on his shoulders... Needless to say - this is the outcome picture of that...........



A few weekends ago, I was able to accompany Shandy and crew up to McCall for a wedding photo shoot! It turned out captured so beautifully - Shandy is simply amazing!!! I just love her photo's and so very happy she allows me to help out! Anyway - since I went up there with her, Matt took LJ for the afternoon/evening after work and decided that he needed to get LJ his own pair of sunglasses (I'm sure it was in hopes that LJ would quit going after his and adding the little baby smudges!) Here's my little cool dude...






Memorial weekend, well Saturday anyway, Matt, LJ and I went up to mom and dad's for a little relaxing time and bbq! Unfortunately for LJ, he tried to follow me while taking out the garbage and his upper lip found grandpa's cement truck parking pad.... Can you see this huge fat lip?!?!?! Luckily, Uncle John drove down to the store and bought some ice cream pops to help with the swelling...





It took an hour or so for LJ to calm down, but as soon as he did - he joined grandpa outside for some of that relaxing time. The dogs decided to keep LJ entertained in between his adventures on and off the swing and back-n-forth from the porch... He loves all the open exploring he's allowed to do at grandma and grandpa's house!!!













My friends, RaNell and Seth, have been amazing in helping me out with last minute babysitting... And their kids just love having LJ around - and I'm sure the feeling is mutual! Here is LJ with Ella! Aren't they just cute!!! (besides LJ's face - he was mimicking me with laughing at the time, and he was trying to laugh like I had been!)



Thank you guys for allowing him and I to join in your family time every so often! We love you and are so thankful to have you in our lives!



Oh - trying to be like mommy!!! When I got home from my fitness bootcamp last night, LJ decided that he needed to put my sandal on and walk around the house... I thought it was simply amazing that he got his little chubber toes in the right spot!!! What a big little boy I have!



The simple, serenity joys of morning. Today, LJ was completely exhausted and didn't even wake up (which he normally does) when I turn off his music. I was even talking to him softly, but I got no response... just continual snoring! Looks how sweet my beautiful son is!!!!!!!






I love that he continues to grow and develop. He is using more and more words and understanding more each new day. It amazes me just how fast he is growing - but don't worry - I LOVE that he is growing! He loves being outside and being active, and I couldn't be happier with that. His personality melts the hearts of all those who lay eyes on him - and my life has been blessed with his decision to join me in this life!

My new House!!!

Just a quick post while I've got some spare time at work... It's finally done! Last monday I was able to close and move into my new house! It took a lot of work, and I want to say a BIG THANKS to my loan officer... Without him - none of it would've been possible!!! He's the MAN!
