Another end of Volleyball and Good times in McCall!

As volleyball season came to a close, I realized that there are some amazing girls that I just love getting to know! Here is one of my girls that got moved up to another team part-way through our own season. I missed her - but she did great things on the other team!



Here is my 2011 team as we are heading into our District Tournament!!! These girls definitely keep life entertaining!

Oh my darling Tiffany.... You find every opportunity to smile to the world! I love this picture - even if I am not really paying attention to the camera...



Tailor.... How can I explain to anyone else that doesn't know you why this picture is perfect?!?!?! She was one of my freshman players from last year, and this year - she was moved up to Varsity!!! Way to go girl!!! Crazy and all... You are perfect - especially when you are right next to Tiffany! The short with the tall!!! Love IT!



Hailey and I helping the girls get ready for a home match, while the head coach, Cathy Curtis is getting the roster and line-up turned in! I loved being able to help out and sit on the bench for the Varsity games after my season ended!



One of my dear friends, Leah, finally had her baby. It was a girl - her second child, but first girl.... Jonathan LOVED seeing the new baby, Kamea, and insisted on getting to hold her too...



I love getting away from Boise and spending time up in McCall... It makes it even better when we get to take friends along with us too! Lindsey and her son, Jadin, were able to go up with my family. Lindsey and I played against each other in high school, and we just stayed friends as we grew up! Our sons are close in age to one another and it is fun to watch them play.

And yet... he didn't quite make it all the way up before falling asleep with his ear protection on...



We spent Saturday taking a walk, climbing on rocks (and jumping off, of course), and finding cool things to crawl into - or at least the boys convinced Matt to crawl in with...


















My little Halloween boy just could not wait to get his costume on!!! He was so excited and we had to keep telling him to wait for Halloween night! So I better wrap up this blog post and take the boy out to gather some candy!!! Happy Halloween!!!!

Anniversary Weekend Pictures...

1 year and counting

I know that I have been lacking in my blogging adventures... I guess that's what happens when you stop working 10 hours a day directly in front of a computer! But there really are no complaints here! I love that my wonderful husband has made it possible for me to not work full time (expect for the time being while a friend of mine is out on maternity leave and I fill in for her in the infant/toddler room at the daycare).

This past year has been full of emotions (both good and bad). There have been moments of pure joy, moments of incredible pain, moments of horrific terror, moments of unconditional love, moments of tense debates, and moments of understanding and growing - as Matt and I have moved through our first year of marriage. (Also, I turned 3o years old!!!) These two accomplishments alone were pretty important to me and am thankful for all of the love and support that I have in my life. I have wonderful friends, who offer needed advice and laughter. I have an amazing family, who are always a phone call away.

I was recently asked if I thought I would have accomplished so much before I turned 30. I had to laugh... because I hadn't thought that I really accomplished all that much. So it gave me a time to reflect on the events throughout my past 30 years..........

*** I've gone to college more than I ever expected and to show for it - I graduated with not only a Bachelor's degree, but I got my Master's in Business Administration!

*** I have a beautiful child who is constantly reminding me that I must have been a fun child for my parents!

*** I have a wonderful husband who, in his own ways, makes me feel loved, protected, and wonderful.

*** I have currently served 10 years in the Idaho Army National Guard - and still going strong. My current enlistments keeps me in the service till Fall of 2013 - which means I will have 12 years of service... What do you think? Do I push through for another 8 and retired with a full 20 years of service?! That is the question of the decade...

*** I have traveled (not as much as I want to but at least I've been places!). I had the opportunity to play volleyball in Australia and Hawaii, seen Germany (for only a day), been to Afghanistan (will never get that year back - however, I met a lot of amazing friends - so I guess it wasn't ALL bad), and I have been to a good portion of the United States.

*** I have some amazing friends and family who support me throughout the decisions I make in life. There are too many of you to name individually - and I would hate to leave someone out and hear about it for years to come - so I just will leave it at that!

*** I'm only 30 years old, celebrated my 1st year wedding anniversary, have a very energetic 2 1/2 year old boy, graduated from college, and am loving life!

Volleyball and Family!

Mommy's little helper! Yup, he may only be 2 years old, but he is all ready quite the little helper when it comes to volleyball! He helps the girl's gather up the balls, and he will even help me coach the girls. Here is a quick picture of him saying Hi to daddy while he is up in Washington for work...



With Matt up in Ft. Lewis for work, Jonathan and I have had extra time spending together. Getting ready for church isn't all that bad. I love how excited he has been getting when he gets to put on his church clothes! He is such a handsome little man!!!



Of course, with Matt being gone, we both miss him. But we make it into games by taking pictures to send to Daddy and that has helped Jonathan really stay connected with Matt while he is away. Sure, he still cries a little for Daddy, but mostly just when he gets in trouble and having to be punished... who wouldn't want Daddy when Mommy is the one saying No.... :) But for the most part, he is all smiles to send to Daddy...



I can't think of any better way to end a day than to fall asleep with my baby boy holding onto my hand...



The love that I have in my life is amazing. And I am thankful every day for all that the Lord has blessed my life with!
