First Easter Family Pics

Saturday, we were able to spend some time with our friends, Erica, Spencer, and Bentley! We went to the Boise Temple grounds and took some fun family pictures for both of our first Easter's with the boys. Here's some of the pictures! We did it on such short notice that I didn't have enough time to ask Shandy (I love the pictures she takes - but I'm hoping that when the weather gets warmer that she'll help me get some really good pics with LJ!). Let me know what you think!

Chubbs!

This picture is post bath time... He is enjoying his tummy time even more, but he kept giving me the funniest looks last night after he was dried off. This shows off his chubbers really well - and gives a preview to his bedroom eyes... :)

Poor little guy has been tired each afternoon I've picked him up from Hollie's. I guess Caleb (her son) has been wearing him out with all the play! :) And not only does he have the double chin here.... check out his cleavage!!! Go buddy!

First day with Hollie!

When I got home from work and picked up LJ from Hollie's, he had all sorts of stories to tell me. He was talking up a storm and I got a few pictures of him.

He went on for nearly thirty minutes and then decided he was ready to eat. It wasn't even ten minutes later (yes, while eating), he fell dead asleep. I figured he was just taking a nap and giving me time to get my homework done. But I finished my homework at 8pm and he was still zonked out! I picked him up, thinking that maybe some movement might wake him up so that he could eat again before the REAL bedtime. He simply just settled in right next to me on the bed and stayed asleep. It wasn't until I woke up at midnight to go to the bathroom, that I ended up waking him up by changing his diaper and pajamas. Apparently his first day with Hollie, not only gave him a lot to say and smile about, but it completely tired him out! Check out these... he had rolled over onto his stomach and slept.

A new week

Today is the beginning of LJ's daycare time with Hollie. It does make it easy living right next to each other. The one hard thing, is that I end up having to wake him up when I put him in his car seat to go drop him off. So hopefully this little guy can adjust without too much of change to his schedule.

But yesterday was a day off for me, and we thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing for the majority of the day! Here is a few pictures of our time!

He decided to go back to sleep after he ate at 7am... I didn't really mind at all!

THEN - we decided to play on the floor for a while. He has gotten quite good and strong over the last few weeks. I suppose he had to with his cousins running around him last week!

And even more tummy time after I finally got him changed out of his pajamas.

This little pirate got all sorts of tuckered out after playing on the floor! My cell phone camera has different frame options to take pictures with...

And of course he could NOT end his day without making his faces. He really seems to love snarling...

Being back at work has its good and bad points. Of course I miss the little chubber, but a bigger aspect is realizing how quickly time is going till I have to be gone for training. I was able to get my conference the first week of May rescheduled till next year! However, I have a four week school to attend for the military at the end of July. Needless to say, Grandma and Grandpa are going to have some QUALITY baby time! And I've very thankful for their ability to help me out as much as they do.

New faces!

So LJ has decided to work on his expressions. His newest one is a little snarl... It's rather cute if you ask me! But yes, I'm his mother. Check out this little video...

And he's never too young to start wanting to be more like mommy... Grandma got him a little Army outfit...

LJ is has been enjoying time with his cousins over the past week. I'm so grateful that my sister and her family were able to come stay with me for their spring break. Here are a few photos of them for those of you who haven't seen them in a while.

This is Bryant - and I believe he's trying to be a turtle... Turtle turtle!!

Owynn cracked her head pretty good before spring break...

Skylar - such a little cutie!

Here is grandpa taking care of Skylar - sleeping... hey - that's one of the things grandpa is good at... napping!!!

Owynn and Bryant playing during bathtime with their cousins, Kristalyn and Nathan...

OK OK OK OK OK OK
Check this out. Skylar is such a cutie - everyone just loves him... Well, apparently he also have a little devil in him... Check out the sweet first picture - but don't be fooled - he's got another side - the second picture!

Gotta love those Kodak moments!!!

Caught a smile!!!

My oldest sister, Tera, and her family have been helping me out by spending their spring break at my house to watch LJ while I am back at work. My sister has been helping my son develp so much in the few days she's been here, or at least I'm saying that it's all her work... LJ is getting so much stronger! And he's loving tummy time more and more! He has also taken to bath time! Here's a few pictures of the little chubber...

Showing off a little leg.....

Chubby cheeks! Gotta love 'em!

All ready deciding to hit himself! Go figure!

And last, but not least.... I FINALLY caught a smile on camera!!! His little personality is showing more and more each day. Seeing him grow is awesome and depressing all at the same time. Having to be back at work means I miss nearly his entire day of being awake and active. I'm thankful to have such wonderful people in my life that help me with my son, but I also want to be the one who experiences all of his 'firsts'. I realize that it's not feasible right now being a single mom, but I'm praying that sooner than later, something - anything - will allow me to spend more time with him... Anyway - here's his handsome little face lit up with a smile!

Isn't he just the cutest little guy? Ok - I know - all mom's think their kid is the cutest. So, in my opinion, he's got all the right stuff! Ladies..... watch out! :)
