Just living life!

Easter traditions are always fun and entertaining. My mom is quite crafty with making an Easter Bunny Cake! It's so delicious - as if cake could be anything else!!!

And of course, the lovely bunny cake was devoured by all... LJ had quite a fun time with his portion of the bunny. Check out this face!

Spring has sprung, the grass is green. Hear the little birdies sing! You have missed us, cause we're not home... We went for a walk in the park!!!

LJ's half brother, Kien, had his last basketball game the other weekend. We luckily did not have anything else planned and were able to go and watch him. Here is Kien with his team after they finished the game... Kien is #9 - He's getting so big!

Look at these brother's sharing a quick moment outside after the game... Kien is all smiles, but LJ is more facinated with the basketball!!!

....and then LJ didn't want to give the ball back to Kien!

On the way back home from Kien's game in Caldwell, LJ didn't make it 5 minutes before completely passing out from running around at the game!

My handsome little man is getting quite big for his britches - and shirts too! Not only is this shirt the bestest thing.... it's now almost too small for the buddah belly he's got going at times! Can you read what it says?!?!?!?!

"This is prolly my awsomest shirt" - I got that for him while I was down in Texas at the Hooter's when some classmates and I went for some good chicken wings!

LJ found Bentley's shades and found it hilarious to put them on and take them off... Such a cutie. I couldn't catch him with them on... but I did snap this!

And speaking of sharing... LJ is riding on Bentley's little bug thing... It looks like Bentley's trying to show LJ how to do things so he can take off... The boys are learning how to live together, and it's been awesome having them move in with us.

This face is priceless... it looks like LJ got caught doing something... I guess I should just get use to this sweet look....

Now for a little "behind-the-scene" action.... I was able to help Shandy out with a senior photo shoot last night... And let me tell ya - John (Shandy's husband) was great trying to come up with poses for Mitch! Check him out.... Quite the character!!!

April?! That came fast!!!

So March came and went faster than I was expecting.... But it has brought some changes that have made life interesting! I ended up having to take some time off of work after surgery - a little extra time than I was expecting, but it did allow LJ and I to spend some time outside enjoying the nice weather. I put a blanket down in the backyard, and we enjoyed a warm afternoon!

Even LJ decided it was nice enough to take a little snooze outside!!! Isn't he just adorable!

Now, this next picture shouldn't surprise really anyone. :) My little guy has shown quite the interest in the piano, and I love that he will take off when I'm trying to change him and head straight for it! He loves to change the sounds and different beats... Such a little musically inclined stud!!! I love it!

Ahhh - the joys of watching him learn to walk better and better each day!

As part of the changes throughout March, I decided to spend some time in a "Mommy and Me" class. We tried out Little Gym, where they take the "Little Birds" through very basic gymnastic/developmental exercises... LJ had a blast along with the other kids around. They played and climbed on/through/over everything available - and they even got to spend some time chasing bubbles!!! It was a good afternoon to spend with my main little man. And I'm glad that I am able to redirect some things in my life to have more time and focus more on being a mom.

Good idea or Bad idea?!

Roller bladding with a kiddo strapped to your back.... :) HAHAHAHA - it was only over to Hollie and TJ's house and back to mine... And LJ seemed to enjoy himself for the most part!

A little blogging catch-up...

There were a few pictures that I never got around to blogging about so I'm going to play a little catch-up while I've got some time. Before I left for Texas, LJ decided he wanted to help with my packing... And here is what followed........

Isn't he such a cute little helper! It was quite comical - I must admit it. And they were great pictures to have while I was away.

And who would expect anything different from me - I'm a goof!

A new friend of mine and I took some time away from Army life - and we found this store... We couldn't resist getting a picture by the sign!!!

Ahhh yes - the delicious wings served at Hooters!!! Here are some of my classmates and I enjoying some of those wings!

This is Teresa Shanks - she was my roomate for the 4 weeks! She's from Alabama!!!

It seems that every time the Army sends me to Texas, my Aunt Gayle and I make it a plan to get together for whatever we can come up with, whether it be dinner or .... here we played a little Putt Putt! It was a bit windy, but it was still a warm day and we enjoy a few rounds outside before we went in and played arcade games. That's where I won a $50 iTunes gift certificate!!!

My beautiful boy and me capturing little moments of being mom!

I love this smile!!!

Now back to work... Here are my fellow co-workers spending some team bonding time around the shredder! It was too good to pass up the photo op!

Growing up is hard to do...

Now that I am home, I get to see all the new little things that Jonathan has been learning! The most entertaining one (I'm sure Hollie might disagree that it's entertaining for her...) is climbing! He's been climbing all over chairs and stuff - and if you go to the Sturges Family blog - you can see a post she did for me of Jonathan and his climbing - and yes - even in the bathroom...

Well - I had TJ, Hollie and the boys over for dinner the other night and after much commotion from this little man about needing out of his high chair, he proceeded to climb right back up it once I took him out! However, he could not figure out how to get back down... And here is some fun pictures!

Isn't that just too cute!!! Yes, he was REALLY not happy with me, and Hollie was prepared to catch him if he fell... but I just couldn't pass up getting a few pictures of this!

Oh how I love my little man - and I'm so grateful to be home. And I'm very blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life that were able to help me out so much while I was gone. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
