My little Missionary

Are there words that need to be spoken for these pictures...

He was getting ready to sneaze right before I snapped this picture... But it's still so cute.

I love this little man. And I'm excited to watch him grow.

An exhausting afternoon...

To celebrate the new accomplishment of turning 3 months old.... (time flies, but sometimes not fast enough :) ) Shandy was able to get some amazing pictures last night. I've only seen a few of them that she posted on her blogsite - and I wanted to make sure everyone can see them. Go check out her blog http://shandyvogt.blogspot.com/ I know the link doesn't show up to just click - but at least you can copy and paste into your address box. She does outstanding work - I absolutely love it! And Bentley and Erica were able to join LJ and I yesterday - it was so much fun. A bit cold - but overall - still awesome!

We starting getting pictures a little after 6pm and were done and heading home a little before 8pm. Needless to say - this little guy was MORE than exhausted by the little photo shoot - he didn't even finish his dinner....

Tired enough that he couldn't even close him mouth... What a tired little man. And yes - he's still sleeping through the whole night!!!!

And when Shandy is done editting the photos - I will completely let you all know - as I'm sure I will be posting at least a few.... :)

A true man...

Yesterday after work, I needed to pick up a few things at Target, and decided to walk through and check out their baby clothes. This picture completely shows that LJ has all ready begun his true trend of being a real man..... And learning how to handle shopping at such an early age!!!

What can I say - it was too cute...

And to top it all off, as soon as we got home after everything - he decided that he wanted to eat and play... Go figure! At least I got a bunch of smiles from the little man. Who wouldn't love him!

Serenity now...

In the ending moments before nightfall, or the early morning hours as the sun rises - how often do you take those moments to just take in a deep breath and be completely thankful for all that you have? As I watched my son and his gaze out the window - it's amazing to realize that my life is utterly blessed. Yes, trials tend to follow me one right after another, but I'm blessed in so many areas.

My son, even in his infantsy, is my strength and my courage to overcome and withstand all that is thrown in my path. His smile melts away whatever pains I may be feeling. I may not know the answers to what lies in front of me, and I may cry when I can't seem to hold on after so many beatings, but holding him, watching him sleep, seeing him smile, or watching him play - make my life and all that I do worth taking on. Every night I knee down and thank my Heavenly Father for my beautiful son. And even though with him comes challenges that are stressful, his existance is also my strength.

Monday, Monday

Yesterday we enjoyed another day off together - minus a brief hour taken out so that I could handle some legality issues with the ex... (yeah for that one - now that it's over) Anywho.....

Mr bigstuff has decided that sitting and standing up is the only way to go... He loves looking around. And since we've been changing quite a few outfits with his little spell bad diapers... Check out the little chubber - he was waiting for me to go grab another onsie...

After he played for quite a while - we decided that it was time for some napping/cuddling... Luckily for me - he's just so darn cute... I can't help myself - and take more than enough pictures...

And let's just face it - LJ will not let anyone forget to feed him... But since he has picked up his little slobbering fetish from little Bentley - he can tend to be a messy eater. Yeah for future times of solid food!!!

Another Monday down - and another week of work has begun. I love the days when I can forget about most things in life and just catch all the little things - like his starting ability to laugh... I realize that I will continue to miss quite a lot of his growing since I'm a full time working single mother - but I am also very blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family around me that are there to help me teach him all that he needs. Thank you all so much. You're each one of a kind!

Happy Boy

What a wonderful way to start off another day. I was able to get completely ready and dressed for the day before LJ decided to wake up. And even though we had to completely change his clothes and put his blanket in the wash (lovely times of blowouts...), he was still so happy and smiling... Check him out!

Last night, while I was getting the dishes done and making dinner for Erica and Spencer, LJ entertained himself with his new saucer (Thanks you Becky and Placido!) He hasn't quite figured out the toys yet, but he loves being able to sit up and watch what's going on around him.

We decided to stop by and visit Erica and Bentley after work a few days ago. We let the boys play on the ground together... well - at least they can look at each other, not too much playing right now.... It's going to be interesting to see how these two grow - Bentley is 2 months older than LJ, but Mr. Chunk is catching up really quickly...

YAHOOOOOOOOOOO

So this picture tells it all.....

Ok - so maybe not ALL... but if you knew the background, it'd make sense.

Last night was the first night, LJ SLEPT ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! And this is him agreeing with me once he woke up that it was a good new schedule! He was quite the little happy guy this morning and I can't think of a better way to wake up than to have him smiling at me.

What a good way to start my day!
